Founded in 1886, New Forest Cemetery is a historic nonprofit cemetery at 2001 Oneida Street in Utica, New York. It remains an active place of burial, remembrance, family connection, and community stewardship.

New Forest is more than a landscape of monuments. Its grounds hold generations of family, faith, military, civic, and neighborhood history—the stories of people from across Utica’s diverse community. Research into the cemetery’s full founding story and historical record is ongoing, and the website will grow as documentation is verified.
